Filipino Artists Made Appearances In Hollywood Films

Some of the Filipino artists has paved their way and showed appearance on certain Hollywood films.

FILIPINO ARTISTS – Some of the actors and actresses in the acting industry of the Philippines was able to play a role in some of the Hollywood films.

As Kris Aquino has made her way to start a career on the Hollywood, there were also several Filipino artists before her who had showed appearance in the said notable home of the United States’ films.

First on the list is Barbara Perez. According to the report of ABS-CBN News, she appeared on the movie “No Man is an Island” with Jeffrey Hunter and Marshall Thompson  as co-stars in the said 1962 war film.

The father of the king of rap Francis Magalona, Pancho Magalona, has also starred on the film “Merrill’s Marauders” with the actor Jeff Chandler.

Bembol Roco and singer Kuh Ledesma as Tiger Lily is also part of the casts of the 1982 movie “The Year of Living Dangerously.”  

Former beauty queen and model Tetchie Agbayani appeared on the films “Gymkata” with Kurt Thomas and Richard Norton, “The Emerald Forest” and “The Money Pit” with the actor Tom Hanks. 

Next in line is the broadway diva and coach of The Voice Philippines Leah Salonga who has been a part of the two Walt Disney films Aladdin and Mulan.

On 2005, Cesar Montano joined the castings of the movie “The Great Raid” and played the role Captain Juan Pajota.

The A love to Last actress Iza Calzado has also appeared in the 2008 horror film “The Echo”. The said film is the remake of the America for the Filipino film “Sigaw”.

Additional on the list is Joel Torre on the Filipino-American Independent film entitled “Amigo” and the film was mostly shot at the Philippines.

On the blockbuster action film “The Bourne Legacy” is where the artists John Arcilla, Lou Veloso and Madeleine Nicolas appeared.

And the Kapamilya star and Its Showtime host Anne Curtis played the role as an immortal lady in the Independent film of Francis dela Torre entitled “Blood Ransom.”

Surely, these stars had brought pride in the Philippines through their acting skills.
