Born on February 8, 1960 in Sampaloc, Manila, the complete name of former Pres. Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III is Benigno Simeon Cojuangco Aquino. He is the only son of the late former President Corazon “Cory” Aquino and the late former senator Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino Jr. He is the brother of actress-television host Kris Aquino. Their three (3) other siblings – Maria Elena or Ballsy, Aurora Corazon or Pinky, and Victoria Elisa Viel, are living a private life.

Noynoy attended Ateneo de Manila University in Quezon City in elementary, high school, and college. He is a graduate of Bachelor of Arts major in Economics. However, his family stayed for three years in the United States when his father was having treatment after a series of heart attack and it was only in 1983 when they returned.

The former President is still at bachelor. Unfortunately, today, June 24, 2021, reports stated that former Pres. Noynoy Aquino passed away at the age of 61 years old. The cause of his death was yet to be disclosed.

Political Career

Former Pres. Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III came from a family of politicians and has served several positions before he became the chief executive in 2010. In November 2004, he sat as the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives until February 2006. In May 2007, he was elected as a senator. His sister, Kris Aquino, is one of those who greatly campaigned for him.

After the death of former Pres. Cory Aquino in 2009, then Sen. Noynoy Aquino was endorsed by the people to run for president in the 2010 national election. His campaign focused on the eradication of corruption in the country and the help for the poor Filipinos. However, his administration was greatly criticized over the death of the Gallant 44.
