Diego Loyzaga talked about his acting project
Actor Diego Loyzaga said he is now open to doing more “kontrabida” roles in his future acting projects.
Diego has established his name in the entertainment industry, away from the shadows of his parents, showbiz veterans Cesar Montano and Teresa Loyzaga.
One of the most recent acting projects that Diego had was the series Totoy Bato on TodoMax Primetime Singko of TV5, which is set to end this week.
Based on the article in PEP, Diego said that he enjoyed portraying the character of Dwayne Perez, a “kontradabia” in the life of Totoy, portrayed by Kiko Estrada.
When asked if there would be more kontrabida roles for him, the actor said, “Definitely mas open ako sa idea na mag-play ulit ng kontrabida.”
Diego Loyzaga, on the other hand, said that he is ready to accept whatever role is given to him, whether it is a bida or kontrabida.
However, he stressed that portraying a villain role is a stepping stone for his acting career. “And mas maraming puwedeng gawin ang kontrabida, e. Puwede kang maging sira-ulo. Hindi ikaw ang laging mabait, so nae-enjoy ko talaga siya,” he said.
Then, Diego was teased by his co-star, seasoned actor-singer Janno Gibbs, that in real life, he is “salbahe.” The younger actor rode along with that joke, as he said, “Hindi nila alam yon. Ha! Ha! For once hindi ko kailangang magpanggap na mabait ako. Parang ganun. Ha! Ha! Ha!”
Diego also shared that he enjoyed working with his co-stars in this series. It was said that Kiko really said that he wanted Diego to be his “kontrabida” in this project.
“And to be honest, at the end of it now, I’m happy. I’m happy na eto ang nangyari. So, yes, definitely open pa ako sa mga kontrabida roles,” Diego Loyzaga said.
