PAGASA Releases Latest Weather Update for Saturday (August 14)
The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that the low-pressure area would bring rains over Eastern Visayas while the rest of the country would have a fair weather condition.
On Saturday (August 14, 2021), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The LPA would affect the country’s weather condition.
The low-pressure area has been last spotted 550 kilometers east of Virac, Catanduanes and would bring rainy conditions over eastern Visayas. The easterlies would affect the weather condition over the eastern section of Mindanao.
“Sa ngayon po, sa pinapakita ng mga models, hindi naman po ito magde-develop into a tropical depression pero magdadala naman ng makulimlim na panahon sa Eastern Visayas, may pag-ulan at pagkidlat pagkulog,” Pagasa weather specialist Ezra Bulquerin said.
The LPA would bring cloudy weather condition over Eastern Visayas. Northern Samar would also experience similar weather. The weather disturbance may also trigger possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.
Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers are expected over Bicol Region, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque and Romblon. Same weather condition are also expected over the rest of Visayas, Occidental Mindoro, and Palawan including Kalayaan Islands.
The easterlies or localized thunderstorms would bring similar weather condition over Metro Manila and the rest of the country. It may also cause possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.
The surrounding sea conditions over the entire country would be slight to moderate, according to the weather bureau.
