Furthermore, there are several new strains of COVID-19 detected by the different countries. PH has also recorded new strains of the disease in some parts of the country. This disease has greatly affected the people’s way of living.

The entire National Capital Region (NCR) and the provinces of Bulacan, Cavite, Rizal, and Laguna were previously under Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) following a spike in the COVID-19 cases in PH. It was just recently when the measure was reduced to modified ECQ or MECQ.
Recently, the Department of Health (DOH) spoke on the COVID-19 spread in the Philippines. Based on a report of ABS-CBN News, the health department said that although the daily cases has go down, the spread of the disease has not slowed down.
DOH Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire tagged the reduction on the Tuesday record as an “artificial decline”. Based on the report, she cited that there are 36 non-operational laboratories on Sunday.
“Hindi pa rin tayo nakakakita ng pagbaba ng kaso. Nandun pa rin tayo sa average ng 10,000 to 11,000 cases per day,” the Health Official said.
According to DOH, the spread of the virus usually takes place in communities still but it also happens in hospitals, offices, and other areas. There is a possibility that high daily records of new COVID-19 cases may continue in the upcoming days.
