Scammer Uses School Principal’s Photo & FB Profile To Perform Scheme
A scammer used the photo and Facebook profile of a school principal in Iloilo to perform its schemes towards victims.
Nowadays, scams and fraud are commonly used by some people to earn a huge amount of cash from their victims, which is considered as a violation of cybercrime law.
The authorities have already advised the public to be more aware and vigilant about having transactions with other people to avoid being a victim.
Recently, the official Facebook page of “Rmn Iloilo” has shared the new modus operandi of a suspect to scam its victims.
Ma’am Noreen dela Rosa, the principal of Tabugon Elementary School in the town of Dingle was victimized by a scam.
Dela Rosa warned the public about a scammer who was using the Facebook account “Stella Marie” (Fake) and the photo of her family to victimize other people.
The scammer was posting its iPhones for sale online and receiving cash from its customers but not sending the items to recipients.
One day, the poor principal was shocked after the victims complained to her regarding the incident without knowing what really happened.
The police authorities have also warned the residents to be more aware regarding this type of modus operandi.
Ma’am Noreen won the second place as the Outstanding Principal in Division Level throughout the entire Iloilo province.
