Female Resident in Nueva Ecija Calls for Action Over Reported Fly Problem Near Poultry Farm

Female Resident Complains About Nueva Ecija Rep. Suansing’s Poultry Farm Over Growing Fly Infestation in the Area

A female resident in Aliaga, Nueva Ecija has complained about Nueva Ecija Rep. Suansing’s poultry farm over fly infestation in the area.

A resident of Aliaga, Nueva Ecija identified as Nerissa Dawang has appealed to local officials to address a growing fly infestation that she believes is linked to a poultry farm reportedly owned by the family of Nueva Ecija Representative Mika Suansing.

Dawang shared a video on social media describing the situation in Barangay Santo Tomas. In her post, she urged authorities to take immediate action, saying the increasing number of flies has become a serious inconvenience for many families in the area.

According to Dawang, the problem has affected not only her community but also several nearby barangays. She said residents are struggling with large numbers of flies entering their homes, making everyday activities difficult and uncomfortable.

“Kami po ay nanawagan sa aming Congresswoman Mika Suansing. Sobra na hong nakakaperwisyo ang inyong poultry diyan sa barangay ng Santo Tomas, Aliaga,”  Dawang said.

Many people in the area are reportedly worried about the possible health risks associated with the infestation. Flies are known to carry bacteria and other harmful organisms, leading some residents to fear that children and other vulnerable members of the community could become sick if the issue is not addressed.

Dawang shared her personal experience, saying even simple family meals have become challenging because of the number of flies around them. She explained that residents have grown increasingly frustrated as the problem continues without a visible solution.

“Ilang barangay ang naapektuhan na ‘yan ng mga langaw. Grabe ho ‘yung langaw, parang binudbod na mga kuto,” she added.

While she acknowledged that operating a business is a legitimate activity, she stressed that proper measures should be taken to ensure nearby communities are not negatively affected. She appealed to the congresswoman and those managing the poultry operation to look into the matter and find ways to reduce the impact on residents.

As of this writing, no official response regarding the allegations has been reported.
