PAGASA Releases Latest Weather Update for Tuesday (December 10, 2024)

PAGASA LATEST UPDATE – The state weather bureau reported that three weather systems will bring cloudy skies and rains over parts of the country.

On Tuesday (December 10, 2024), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The intertropical convergence zone, shear line and northeast monsoon will affect the country’s weather condition.

PAGASA weather specialist Patrick del Mundo reported that ITCZ will bring scattered rains and thunderstorms over the western section of Mindanao and Palawan. The shear line will affect the eastern sections of Central and Southern Luzon, while amihan will affect affect the eastern sections of Central and Southern Luzon.

The shear line will bring cloudy weather condition with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms over Metro Manila, CALABARZON, Bicol Region, Marinduque, Oriental Mindoro, Bulacan, and Aurora.

The ITCZ will bring similar weather condition over Zamboanga del Norte and Palawan.

The northeast monsoon will bring cloudy skies with rains over Cagayan Valley, Apayao, Kalinga, Mountan Province, and Ifugao.

“Dito sa may kanlurang bahagi ng Luzon, particular sa may Ilocos Region at sa nalalabing bahagi ng Central Luzon, aasahan naman natin ang mga pag-ambon dulot ito ng hanging amihan,” del Mundo said.

Amihan will also bring partly cloudy to cloudy weather condition with isolated light rains over Ilocos Region and the rest of Cordillera Administrative Region and Central Luzon.

The localized thunderstorms will bring the same weather condition over the remaining parts of the country.

Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over Northern Luzon and the eastern sections of Central and Southern Luzon will be rough to very rough. Moderate to rough waters are expected over the rest of Luzon and the eastern sections of Visayas and Mindanao.

The rest of the archipelago will experience slight to moderate surrounding sea conditions, according to PAGASA.
