Gretchen Barretto reunites with siblings at the wake of their mother, Inday Barretto, who died on January 29.
The Barretto siblings, Joaquin, Gretchen, and Claudine, reunited at the wake of their late mother, Estrella “Inday” Barretto, in Taguig City. Amid the family’s grief and mourning, they chose to unite.
Inday was 89 years old at the time of her passing, and on the second night of her wake, Gretchen, also known as La Greta, came and got reunited with her siblings, Claudine and Joaquin.
In a post shared by their brother Joaquin, Gretchen and Claudine Barretto were seen with their arms around each other as they paid their respects beside their mother’s coffin during the wake at Heritage Park in Taguig City.
“I love you both so much. Mom is smiling in heaven. Wish come true for Mom. Thank you Lord,” Joaquin’s post read.
Claudine also shared a heartwarming moment with estranged sister, Marjorie, sharing laughs. In a previous article, Marjorie talked about their mother’s death, and she showed nothing but grace and healing amid the pain of loss. She shared that the moments she spent with her mother in her final days are memories she will always cherish.
She was with her mother until she died, and this moment had given her a sense of healing.
“They say we don’t always get closure in life. Knowing God was calling my mom home, I believe He gave me something even greater, the chance to be with her at her bedside, a grace that allowed me to heal,” she said.
She then went on asking for prayers for her beautiful, feisty, strong, funny, and loving mother, who is now reunited with her father and brother.
