Why Jeric Raval Keeps His Christmas Decorations Up All Year Long
JERIC RAVAL – While most families pack away their holiday ornaments after the season, Jeric Raval has a deeply personal reason for keeping the Christmas spirit alive every single day.
Jeric Raval has opened up about the meaningful reason why Christmas never seems to end inside his home. The veteran action star and award-winning actor revealed that his family keeps their Christmas decorations up throughout the entire year, turning their house into a constant reminder of the joy and warmth that the holiday season brings.
During Susan Enriquez’s visit to Jeric’s lavish residence for her vlog, “Susan Tayo Vlogs,” the broadcast journalist and television host was surprised to see that the house remained filled with Christmas ornaments despite the holiday season being long over. Curious about the unusual tradition, she asked the actor why they never took the decorations down.

Jeric explained that his childhood experiences shaped this decision. “Kasi lumaki ako sa hirap. Ang nanay ko at saka tatay ko hiwalay na, eh. Si nanay, siyempre, teacher ang nanay ko, hindi naman kalakihan ang suweldo ng teacher noong araw.”
He shared that Christmas and New Year were among the happiest moments of his youth, making those celebrations especially meaningful to him. “Pangalawa, kapag Pasko nakakaramdaman ako ng saya noon. Saka, kapag New Year, ang saya. Gusto ko ‘pag New Year kumpleto kami. Lahat kami,” the actor said, referring to his children.
Jeric also revealed that while his children may choose to spend Christmas wherever they wish, New Year is reserved for everyone gathering at his home. “Halimbawa siya (isang anak), ‘Saan mo gusto mag-Pasko?’ Sige, gusto kong mag-Pasko doon.’ ‘Pero New Year dito kayo lahat.’ Kaya dito ang dami namin kapag New Year.”
The actor also spoke about his large family, saying he has 18 children with seven different women. Despite their unique family setup, he said everyone gets along well with one another.
“They know each other. Wala akong problema,” Jeric shared.
He added that fairness and proper time management have always been his priorities as a father. “Unang-una, time management. Pangalawa, pantay-pantay ‘yan, eh. Tingin ko diyan, pantay-pantay.”
Jeric admitted that questions about his children have become a normal part of interviews. “Wala, ordinaryo na lang, eh. ‘Pag tinanong, ‘May anak pa pala kayo?’ ‘Oo nga.’ ‘Ilan ang anak mo doon?’ ‘Tatlo.’”

He also stressed that acknowledging and taking responsibility for his children is something he has never been ashamed of.
“Mas nakakahiya kasing sabihing, ‘Oo anak ko ‘yun.’ Mas nakakahiya ‘yun tapos pinabayaan mo lang. ‘Ah, ikaw pala ‘yung tatay ng tatlo, ‘yung pinabayaan mo.’ Pangit naman ‘yun,” he said.
Although he expressed gratitude for his children, Jeric admitted that if he could turn back time, he would have chosen to have a smaller family.
“Hindi naman ako nagsisisi. Mabait naman ‘yung mga anak ko. Pero kung ako ang tatanungin, kung mababalik ko lang ‘yung panahon, siguro ang anak ko, marami na ‘yung lima.
“Kasi, ang tagal ng panahon na hindi ko na-priority ‘yung sarili ko,” Jeric Raval shared.
