Dennis Padilla Reaches Out Again to Marjorie Barretto’s Kids After Heartbreaking Rift

After Wedding Heartache, Dennis Padilla Makes Emotional Move Toward Marjorie Barretto’s Children

DENNIS PADILLA – Months after admitting defeat in fixing his relationship with his children, Dennis Padilla surprised fans with a heartfelt Christmas gesture that reopened old wounds.

Veteran actor-comedian Dennis Padilla has once again expressed his desire to reconnect with the children of his former partner, Marjorie Barretto, months after publicly admitting that their relationship had reached a breaking point. This renewed gesture came during the Christmas season, a time traditionally associated with forgiveness, reflection, and family.

On Instagram, Dennis shared a photo featuring Julia, Claudia, and Leon Barretto alongside their half-siblings Gavin and Maddie. The post was accompanied by a heartfelt caption that read, “Love you All mga anak… God bless you more,” signaling a quiet but emotional attempt to reach out to his children despite their strained bond.

While Dennis extended an olive branch online, Marjorie and her children spent the holidays together in a more private celebration. Joining them were Dani Barretto and Claudia’s husband, Basti Lorenzo, highlighting the close-knit dynamic within Marjorie’s family during the festive season.

The tension between Dennis and his children became more public last April following Claudia Barretto’s wedding to Basti Lorenzo. In a candid interview with Ogie Diaz, Dennis revisited the painful experience, admitting that the event deeply affected him. According to him, attending the wedding only added to his emotional burden.

“One of the most painful part ng buhay ko na naranasan. Wala ito sa kalahati ng mga naranasan ko sa kanila sa mga nakaraan, pati nu’ng mga debut. Wala,” Dennis shared, emphasizing the depth of his hurt.

He further reflected that it might have been better had he not been invited at all. “Kasi even hindi ka nila pinansin, problema mo ‘yun. Hindi ka invited, pumunta ka e. Hindi ka pinansin, wala kang magagawa. Pwedeng iwanan mo na lang ‘yung gift mo sa organizer, pabigay mo… Wala kang ie-expect. So I’d rather hindi ako na-invite,” he added.

Despite his recent holiday greeting, Dennis admitted that he has largely come to terms with the possibility that reconciliation may no longer be achievable. “Ayoko na. Surrender na. I’m finished… Tatay na lang nila ako pero bringing back the relationship, wala na siguro. Maybe we can just play around with the memories pero that’s it, finished,” he said.

Still, his Christmas message suggests that while he may have surrendered to the situation, the love he has for his children remains.
