Karingal attended the event with the hope of promoting unity and accountability. He explained that instead of focusing on anger, he wanted to push for a solution that would allow corrupt individuals to make up for the damage they caused.

His proposal centered on long-term service, which he believes could help restore trust and support the community they once failed to serve.

The fish simple yet relatable appeal made him a recognizable figure online and even earned him the nickname fishball warrior.

Karingal was also present during the Baha sa Luneta 2.0 event. He became known once again after being briefly arrested by police during the September 21 gathering before later being released.

the latter continues to emphasize the importance of lowering prices of common snacks such as fish balls, kwek-kwek, squid balls, kalamares, and tokneneng. Beyond this, he also expressed his wish to help farmers gain access to their own land in their provinces, sharing that this goal inspired him to run for mayor.
