Kapuso actress Ashley Ortega has this reaction when asked about the rumored relationship between Kathryn Bernardo and Mark Alcala.
Rumors surrounding Kathryn Bernardo and Lucena City Mayor Mark Alcala once again became a hot topic online. This is after Ashley Ortega, the mayor’s ex-girlfriend, seemingly confirmed that the two are together as a couple.
During Ashley’s guest appearance on the talk show Fast Talk with Boy Abunda, she was asked about the rumors linking her ex-boyfriend Mark to Kathryn. Although Kathryn and Mark have yet to officially confirm the real status of their relationship, the Kapuso actress openly shared that she was happy for the two of them.
“Wow, ang suwerte naman ni Mark. Nakakuha siya ng Kathryn Bernardo,” she quipped, as she said that the politician has got one who is good and decent. Because of her statement, fans immediately speculated that Ashley may have unintentionally confirmed the rumored romance between them.
“But again, I am happy for the both of them, and I am just happy for them. Kasi it’s been years na din and, finally, nakahanap siya [Mark] ng mabuting decent girl. So, I am happy for the both of them,” she added.
Meanwhile, despite her positive words, she and Alcala are no longer in communication following their breakup. They have not spoken or seen each other since, but despite this, there was no bad blood between them, and their separation was a mutual decision.
“Siguro if dumating yung time na we bump into each other, of course, I am gonna say hi,” she said. To recall, Ashley and Mark got together in 2020, and in 2023, their split was confirmed amid the buzz that circulated around them.
