“Can I just say that we weren’t hiding. We just chose to have a private relationship talaga [because] we know na ayaw namin ng… What people don’t know they can’t ruin,” said Barbie Imperial previously when she finally confirmed her relationship with actor Richard Gutierrez.
To recall, Barbie and Richard officially dating was confirmed by Ogie Diaz in 2024, and it was just earlier this year when their relationship was confirmed.
Recently, Barbie created a loud buzz online after posting a photo with her car for an endorsement shortly after Sarah Lahbati did. Lahbati is the estranged wife of Gutierrez, and Imperial was being accused of copying her.
She did not let the accusations against her slide after some netizens claimed that she was allegedly copying her current partner’s estranged wife.
In the comments section of her post, the Kapamilya actress firmly denied the allegations and clarified that she was not imitating anyone. Barbie explained that she has owned the vehicle for quite some time already and that the upload was simply part of a car sponsorship campaign for Ridemax.
According to Barbie, she already had her LC250 last year, stressing that the post had nothing to do with the issue being linked to her online. She also revealed that the photo was actually taken long before and was only scheduled to be posted this week as part of the campaign arrangement.
“I was paid to post this for Ridemax. I had my LC250 last year pa. This was shot last month pa and I was told to post this pic this week. I think I’m allowed naman to post my car sponsorships.. wag issue,” she explained.
