Authorities said he had turned the gun on himself after shooting the young student inside their school.

The victim, who remains in critical condition, is reportedly the suspect’s former girlfriend. Initial findings point to a possible crime of passion, with police believing the breakup may have triggered the violent act.
Witnesses claim the suspect struggled to accept the end of their relationship, which may have led to the tragedy.
“Accordingly, mag-lover sila then naghiwalay. Parang tinitingnan motibo is crime of passion ang nangyari. Parang nakipaghiwalay yata yung babae, ngayon according sa witness na kaibigan ng babae, hindi accepted ng lalaki ang nangyaring breakup,” Sta. Rosa Police Station chief Police Major Willard Lumawig Dulnuan said.
