Klea Pineda denied third party issue in her breakup with Katrice Kierulf
Kapuso actress Klea Pineda reacted to the rumors linking her to Kapamilya actress Janella Salvador.
After Klea’s decision to reveal that she is a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, she shared with the public her relationship with Katrice. They became more visible together on their social media, and they would fondly share their sweet moments and messages for each other.
However, last month, Klea confirmed her breakup with Katrice. This became controversial after netizens noticed that Katrice had been liking comments accusing Janella of being the third party.
Klea Pineda and Janella Salvador happened to be co-stars in the Cinemalaya 2025 film Open Endings with Kapuso actress Jasmine Curtis-Smith and Leanne Mamonong of indie pop/singer-songwriter duo Leanne and Naara.
After rumors linking Klea and Janella circulated online, netizens talked about their sweet photos. Late last month, photos showing that they were spotted together surfaced on social media. Among these photos were taken during the Pride month celebration.
At the GMA Gala on Saturday, August 2, Klea was asked if she was aware of the rumors linking her to Janella and denied that the latter was the third party in her breakup with Katrice.
“Of course, of course, I’m aware sa nangyayari but ang sinasabi ko, ako ang nagsasabi mismo sa inyo, walang third party na nangyari,” the Kapuso actress said.
Klea also stressed that she and Janella became close, as well as with her other movie co-stars, because of their togetherness while filming. “Yung closeness namin ni Janella, inevitable siya kasi magkasama kami sa film. So kaming apat sa film, si Jasmine, si Leanne, si Janella, and me, yung closeness namin talaga na-develop during shooting days namin,” she said.
Regarding the third party issue, Klea said, “And the third party issue? Come on guys, tama na.”
