Kylie Padilla shared her thoughts on the criticism received by her father
Kapuso actress Kylie Padilla admitted that she was hurt by the negative comments about her father Senator Robin Padilla.
Kylie is very close to her father. At a young age, she was already exposed to the world of entertainment and eventually, she followed in the footsteps of her father. Kylie established her name as one of the homegrown talents of the Kapuso network.
Being in showbiz for many years already, Kylie also had her fair share of intrigues and controversies. Her father also had his fair share of these, especially now that he is in the political arena.
In a recent interview, based on the article in Abante, Kylie Padilla admitted she would feel hurt or offended by the criticism and bashing against her father.
“Yes, I get offended. Siyempre tatay ko `yon. Before he became a politician, he was my dad first! Siyempre, I do feel for my dad!” the actress said.
With this, Kylie shared that she would ask her father how he is or if he needs anything every time they would see each other. “Ang tatay ko kasi, magaling mag-focus sa isang bagay, eh. Pero kaming family niya, naapektuhan talaga kami,” she shared.
Kylie shared that her father would answer that he was okay and they can see that he is still eager to play the game of politics. When asked if she and her father would fight over having different political beliefs, Kylie said that she did not agree with everything.
However, she said that she knew her father and where he was coming from. “And I’m sure naman, he knows himself. Kung ano ang pinaglalaban niya!” Kylie Padilla added.
Meanwhile, Kylie is set to have her teleserye comeback through My Father’s Wife with Gabby Concepcion and Kazel Kinouchi. This was one of the big projects she would do this year.
