PAGASA Says 2 Weather Systems to Affect PH Weather Condition
PAGASA LATEST UPDATE – The state weather bureau reported that amihan and easterlies will bring overcast skies and rains over parts of the country.
On Tuesday (March 18, 2025), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. Two weather systems will affect the country’s weather conditions.
PAGASA weather specialist Chanel Dominguez reported that the northeast monsoon will be affecting Luzon while the easterlies will affect the rest of the country.

“Meron tayong easterlies o ’yung mainit at maalinsangan na hangin na nanggagaling sa Dagat Pasipiko na umiiral naman dito sa Visayas at Mindanao,” Dominguez said.
The easterlies will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over the Zamboanga Peninsula, Basilan, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi.
The northeast monsoon will bring cloudy skies with rains over Cagayan Valley, Aurora, and Quezon.

“Kahit naman po meron tayong northeast monsoon na umiiral po dito sa Luzon ay inaasahan po natin makakaranas pa rin naman po tayo ng mainit at maalinsangan na tanghali hanggang hapon,” she added.
Amihan will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon.
The easterlies will bring similar weather conditions over the remaining parts of the country.
The weather agency has advised the residents in the affected areas to take precautionary measures for possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains and severe thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, the coastal water conditions over Northern Luzon will be rough to very rough. Central Luzon and the eastern section of Southern Luzon will have moderate to rough waters. The remaining parts of the country will have slight to moderate surrounding sea conditions, according to PAGASA.
“Kaya pinapaalalahanan po natin ang mga kababayan po natin na delikado pumalaot dito po sa nasabi nating coastal waters,” Dominguez explained.
