A kind fast-food delivery rider earned admiration online after stopping to buy food and water for a stray dog he encountered on a bridge.
Recently, Xaviera Marie Balangue Umipon, a Facebook user, shared the thoughtful act of a kind-hearted delivery rider. The post immediately spread like wildfire online and elicited comments from the online community.
According to Umipon, the rider stopped at a local store to buy bread and bottled water. At first, the store owner thought the rider was simply hungry since it was already midday. However, after purchasing the items, the rider explained that the food and water were not for him but for a stray dog he had seen lying on the bridge.
The rider shared that the dog appeared weak and undernourished, suffering in the heat of the midday sun. Determined to help, he went out of his way to find a store, buy supplies, and return to the dog to offer some relief.
The store owner was touched by the rider’s gesture, especially since it wasn’t something the rider was obligated to do. Instead, it was a small but meaningful act of compassion.
Although the store owner was unable to take a clear photo of the rider out of respect for his privacy.

“Shout out sa Jollibee delivery na ito..
Tumigil siya sa tindahan namin kahapon. Para bumili ng tinapay at tubig. Akala ko kakainin niya at gutom na siya dahil tanghaling tapat na iyun. Pagkabili niya naghanap siya ng lagayan ng tubig. Kaya tinanung ko bakit kuya kailangan mo ng lagayan pede mo nmn inumin na yung tubig. Sagot niya sa akin ay hindi po ako ang iinum at kakain ng binili ko sa inyo may nakita po kasi akong aso sa tulay nakahiga. Pagkainit init tapos may sakit siya kasi payat na. Ibibigay daw niya. Di ako naman hanap din ng lagayan ng tubig.
Sa isip isip ko pagkabait nman ng taong ito mapagmahal sa hayop.. Nadaanan niya lang tlga naman naghanap pa ng tindhan para bumili ng pagkain at tlgang binalikan pa..
