One of the biggest stars of today and currently holds the highest-grossing film of all time is Alden Richards. The Kapuso actor is currently posed in the highest-grossing film seat with ABS-CBN superstar Kathryn Bernardo for their film “Hello, Love, Again”.
The film directed by Cathy Garcia-Sampana earned over a billion in the global box office, making it the highest-grossing Filipino film of all time. It premiered on November 13, 2024, a collaboration between GMA Pictures and Star Cinema.
Some of the film’s achievements are:
- Biggest opening day earnings at Php 85 million on November 13.
- Biggest single-day gross at Php 131 million on November 16.
- First Filipino film to break into the US Top 10 box office at Number 8.
- Biggest opening weekend at Php 492 million.
- First local film to cross the Php 900 million mark in gross.
- First local film to cross the Php 1 billion mark in gross.
- Officially on November 22, it became the highest-grossing Filipino movie of all time.
- It is the highest opening weekend gross for a Filipino film in the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and Oman, earning $1.4 million in just one week.
On the other hand, Julia Barretto is one of the well-loved actresses from ABS-CBN. Last year, she also recorded a record-breaking success through her film reunion with ex-boyfriend and ex-love team Joshua Garcia. Their movie was called “Un/happy For You”.
It earned Php 253 million as of August 24, 2024, and was last year’s highest-grossing opening day of a local film post-pandemic until November when “Hello, Love, Again” was released.
