Joshua Espineli Garcia was born on October 7, 1997 to a non-showbiz couple, Geo Garcia and Marife Espineli, in Batangas. He is the second son of the couple and his elder sister is Lorenza Mae. Joshua Garcia’s age now is 23 years old.
Joshua’s parents separated and he grew up under the care of his father. His priest uncle, Fr. Gerry Garcia, also played a huge role in the upbringing of the young actor.
It is no secret to the public that Joshua came from a poor family. He is vocal about his life experiences including the time when he had to stop from schooling because his father could only afford to send just one of them in school. There was also a time when he went to school with no baon after seeing that his father’s wallet only has Php 20.00 left.

The tandem of Joshua and Julia led to a real-life romance. They became a couple for two years. However, the Joshua Garcia-Julia Barretto relationship ended and both are visibly focusing on their respective careers now.
