Authorities Nabbed Son After Allegedly Killing His Elderly Mother
Authorities arrested a 37-year-old man after he allegedly killed his 74-year-old mother in Bokod, Benguet.
The crime was discovered after a neighbor noticed a human foot sticking out from the ground in a vacant lot.
According to reports, the incident happened on May 3 in Barangay Daklan. Police responded after receiving information about a suspected buried body in the area.
Investigators said a witness reported seeing the suspect burying something in the vacant lot that afternoon. The witness later asked his child to check the area more closely, and they were shocked after noticing a human foot partially exposed in the soil.
Authorities immediately went to the location to investigate. Upon checking the area, police confirmed that the body had been buried there.
Further investigation also led officers to the house where the mother and son reportedly lived. According to police, traces of blood were found inside the home, raising more suspicion against the suspect.
