Mother Disappointed After Lechon She Saved Up For Allegedly Arrived Burnt Outside and Undercooked Inside
A mother expressed her disappointment after the lechon she had saved up for allegedly arrived burnt on the outside and undercooked inside.
Stephanie P. Abrera, a Facebook user, shared her sentiments after reportedly receiving a poorly prepared lechon that they ordered for her child’s 7th birthday celebration. The post quickly went viral and gained reactions online.
According to Abrera, they spent P13,500 for the roasted pig, which they had carefully saved money for over several months. She said the lechon was supposed to be delivered to the venue at 12 noon because the birthday program was scheduled to start at 1 p.m.
However, the family was surprised when they were informed as early as 6 a.m. that the lechon would already be delivered. Abrera explained that the supplier allegedly said the lechon could not stay any longer at their place because the owner’s grandchild might see it and cry.
Although they already felt uneasy about the early delivery, the family accepted the order because they still had many things to prepare for the celebration.
Upon checking the lechon at home, they immediately noticed that the skin was not crispy. Despite this, they chose to move forward with the party preparations and hoped the food was still properly cooked.
Their disappointment grew when they finally opened the lechon at the venue. According to Abrera, they discovered that the outside appeared burnt while the inside still looked undercooked.
They also allegedly noticed remaining pig hair on parts of the tail and head, while a portion near the stomach seemed incomplete.
Abrera said they tried contacting the supplier to explain their complaint and at least receive an apology or response, but they allegedly did not hear back.
She expressed sadness because the birthday celebration was something their family had prepared and worked hard for during the past several months. As of now, the supplier has not yet released any statement regarding the complaint.
