PAGASA Says 3 Weather Systems to Affect PH Weather Systems
PAGASA LATEST UPDATE – The state weather bureau reported that three weather systems will bring cloudy and wet weather over parts of the country.
On Tuesday (January 28, 2025), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. Three weather systems will affect the country’s weather conditions.
PAGASA weather specialist Rhea Torres reported that shear line, easterlies, and northeast monsoon or amihan are expected to bring overcast skies and rain to various parts of the country.
“Sa kasalukuyan po, inaasahan pa rin natin yung mga pagulan sa ilang bahagi po ng ating bansa, dulot po ng patuloy na epekto ng mga weather systems na patuloy pong nakakaapekto sa ating kapuluan,” Torres said.
The shear line will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms over the Visayas, Palawan, and Dinagat Islands.
“Dito po sa may bahagi ng Visayas, makikita po natin itong mga kumpol ng kaulapan na umaabot hanggang dito sa Palawan. Iyan po yung shearline o ‘yung pagsasalubong ng malamig at mainit na hangin,” she explained.
The easterlies cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over the rest of Mindanao.
The Northeast Monsoon will bring similar weather conditions over Batanes, Cagayan, and Isabela.
Amihan partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon.
“Gayundin dito sa may Mindanao, inaasahan din po natin ‘yung maulan na panahon. Dulot naman yan ang epekto ng easterlies o ‘yung mainit na hangin na nanggagaling sa Karagatang Pasipiko,” she noted.
Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over Northern Luzon will be rough to very rough. Central Luzon will have moderate to rough waters. The remaining parts of the country will have slight to moderate surrounding sea conditions, according to PAGASA.
“Inaasahan po natin ‘yung maalon hanggang sa napakaalong karagatan, so delikado pong pumalaot lalong-lalo na po sa ating mga kababayan na may mga maliit na sasakyang pandagat,” she added.
