“Parang embutido siya,” says Korina Sanchez about the Beef Wellington.
Online people were blown after ABS-CBN broadcaster Korina Sanchez described Gordon Ramsay’s Beef Wellington as “embutido”.
World-renowned Chef Gordon Ramsay is popular for his Beef Wellington. In the Philippines, this dish is being served in Gordon Ramsay Bar & Grill. This high-end restaurant, the first one of Ramsay in the Philippines, is located in Newport Grand Wing, Newport World Resorts in Pasay City.
Each slice of the meat with layers of puffy pastry and mushroom duxelles served with creamy mashed potatoes and red wine jus is worth Php 3,888.00 which is practically not your usual price for your usual dinner or lunch.
The “Beef Wellington Lumpia” by Abi Marquez got Ramsay impressed at its first bite. While many people claimed that more than the delicate taste of the dish, they were also in for an experience. Many people claim that it was perfectly executed.
However, how Korina Sanchez described her experience with the famous dish got many netizens amused and left in stitches. She also recommended trying the famous fish and chips from the menu which is composed of Pink grouper, Koffman’s thick-cut fries, crushed peas, and tartare sauce which is worth Php 1,999.00.
Toward the end of BNC’s Agenda, Sanchez recommended people go to the bar and grill to try the dish Chef Ramsay is famous for. People accordingly should definitely try the Beef Wellington and further describe it as something reminiscent of the beloved Filipino fiesta favorite – “embutido”.
“Yun ang sinasabi nila na you have to try it. Yung fish and chips kasi British siya, atsaka yung Beef Wellington. Parang embutido siya, karne sa loob tapos tinapay sa labas,” she said leaving a lot of people online amused because of the comparison she just made.
