Passenger Complains About Taxi Driver’s Alleged Overspeeding & Lack of Concern for Safety
A male passenger filed a complaint against a taxi driver for allegedly overspeeding and showing little concern for the safety of commuters.
Recently, John Figueroa, a Facebook user, shared his experience with a taxi driver who was reportedly driving at an extremely high speed despite having passengers on board.The post quickly went viral and received various reactions from online users.
According to Figueroa, the taxi driver was traveling at speeds ranging from 120 to 140 kilometers per hour while carrying passengers. The incident happened while they were traveling along a route from Magsaysay going south.
John claimed that despite the condition of the road, the driver continued to travel at a very high speed. Concerned for their safety, the passengers reportedly asked the driver to slow down. Instead of responding positively, the driver allegedly became upset and reacted in a rude manner.
The passenger also shared that they were not comfortable with the way they were being treated during the trip. Because of the situation, he and his companions decided to get off before reaching their intended destination.
He explained that the fare was not the issue, as they were willing to leave the vehicle even if it meant paying for part of the trip.
Many expressed concern over the reported speed of the vehicle, saying that drivers should always prioritize the welfare of their passengers.
