A lady shopper expressed her disappointment after she was allegedly bitten by a stray cat inside a popular shopping mall.
Recently, Michelle Ortiola Gahaton, a Facebook user, shared her experience after being bitten by a stray cat inside the mall, but said that the management refused to cover her medical expenses. The post quickly went viral and received various reactions online.
According to Gahaton, they had finished grocery shopping and were heading toward the City Walk area while pushing their carts.

Michelle explained that they briefly stopped when one of her companions wanted to buy a snack. Moments later, a black stray cat suddenly approached and bit her on the left leg.
After being bitten, Gahaton immediately sought assistance from mall personnel and security staff. She reported the incident and received initial medical attention when a nurse arrived and performed wound care on the affected area.
However, her frustration grew when she learned that the mall management would not shoulder the expenses for the tetanus shot and anti-rabies vaccination that she needed after the bite.

According to her account, management explained that the animal was a stray cat and was not owned by the mall, making it outside their responsibility.
Some shared similar experiences and called for stronger measures to ensure the safety of customers, especially in busy commercial areas where families, children, and elderly visitors frequently gather.
Gahaton also pointed out that there appeared to be several stray cats and dogs roaming around the area, raising concerns that similar incidents could happen again if the issue is not addressed.
Although she has since recovered and is doing well, the experience left a lasting impression on her.
