Girlfriend Pretends to Be Pregnant, Boyfriend Scammed for Over 500K

Girlfriend Fakes Pregnancy, Scams Boyfriend of Over P500,000

PREGNANCY SCAM – A girlfriend pretended to be pregnant and reportedly scammed her boyfriend out of over P500,000.

Recently, Christian Dico, a Facebook user, was left heartbroken and financially drained after discovering that his girlfriend allegedly scammed him by pretending to be pregnant. It cost him over P500,000.

Christian shared that it all started in July 2024, when his girlfriend claimed she was pregnant despite having ovarian issues. To confirm, he bought a pregnancy test, which turned out positive, though he now doubts its authenticity.

Believing her claim, he decided to support her throughout the “pregnancy.” In August, she told Christian she needed bed rest and returned to her family home, which was closer to a clinic. From then on, they only communicated through chats and video calls.

The woman frequently mentioned bleeding incidents and trips to the OB-GYN for 3D ultrasounds. However, Christian now believes the photos she shared were taken from Pinterest.

He became suspicious because their video calls were always in dark lighting, and she refused to show her stomach. As months passed, his concern grew, but he continued to send her money for medical expenses and other needs.

By December, she claimed she was in labor and demanded more money for hospital fees. Once again, the photos she sent turned out to be from Pinterest.

Christian later realized he had been scammed when he tried to confirm her story and found no evidence of her pregnancy. Now burdened by loans and emotional distress, he is struggling to recover from the betrayal.
