PAGASA Says 2 Weather Systems to Affect PH Weather Condition

PAGASA LATEST UPDATE – The state weather bureau reported that two weather systems will bring rain over parts of the country.

On Monday (November 25, 2024), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. Two weather systems will affect the country’s weather conditions.

PAGASA state weather specialist Daniel James Villamil reported that the northeast monsoon or amihan and the intertropical convergence zone will affect some areas in Northern Luzon and Mindanao.

The northeast monsoon will bring cloudy weather conditions with rains in areas of extreme northern Luzon.

The ITCZ will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over many parts of Mindanao.

The localized thunderstorms will bring brief rainshowers over Metro Manila. The remaining parts of the country will experience fair weather conditions today but partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms are expected in the afternoon until the evening.

“However, extra caution is still advised for our fellow citizens who will be sailing, especially in the coastal waters of northern Luzon, as moderate to rough sea conditions are still possible in the area,” Villamil explained.

Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over Extreme Northern Luzon will be moderate to rough seas, according to PAGASA.
