Neil Arce called Angel Locsin “Narda”
Businessman Neil Arce had this meaningful comment amid the issue of his wife, A-list actress Angel Locsin with Senator Robin Padilla.
The issue came after Padilla’s statement that he is a “komunista.” Angel questioned where the actor-politician was when she was being falsely red-tagged years ago.
The actress pointed out that he closely associated and chatted with the individuals who accused her, yet remained silent instead of defending her despite knowing the allegations were untrue. They had some projects in the past.
Following Angel Locsin’s the post, netizens observed that Sen. Robin Padilla’s wife, Mariel Padilla, unfollowed the A-list actress on Instagram. It was also said that Mariel unfollowed Anne Curtis.
The senator’s brother, actor Rommel Padilla, publicly defended him against Angel’s criticisms.
Amid the issue, netizens noticed, Neil Arce’s comment on his wife’s post, based on the article in Bandera. “Lika na Narda hanapin natin yung bato,” Angel’s husband said.
Narda is the mortal alter ego of the Pinay superhero Darna, a role played by Angel in the 2005 GMA-7 television adaptation. Many fans would even say that Angel is a real-life Darna for helping other people even without publicizing it.
The businessman did not mention a specific name, but many netizens speculated that the person he was referring to was Senator Bato dela Rosa, who is a known ally of Senator Robin Padilla. Dela Rosa is currently hiding following the release of the the warrant of arrest from the International Criminal Court (ICC).
Reports stated that Padilla faces obstruction of justice complaint for allegedly facilitating the May 14, 2026, escape of Senator Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa from the Senate complex, after the controversial shooting incident.
In an interview, Padilla was asked if he knew where Dela Rosa was. The actor-politician said that even though he knew where Dela Rosa was, he would never tell the public his whereabouts.
