Joy and Ethan or Kathryn Bernardo and Alden Richards, respectively, have this to say after their film crosses the Php 1 billion mark.
Kathryn Bernardo and Alden Richards’ sequel movie, “Hello, Love, Again” has reportedly earned over Php 1 billion worldwide which makes this the first Filipino film to achieve this. ABS-CBN Films reported on Saturday, November 23, that it earned Php 1.06 billion at the worldwide box office.
This movie stars Kathryn Bernardo and Alden Richards, playing Joy and Ethan, respectively. Since the release of the film, it created history and for one, it is the film that beat “Rewind” in just 10 days.
It is now the highest-grossing Filipino film of all time.
“Rewind” starring Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes earned a total of Php 924 million at the worldwide box office replaced KathDen’s blockbuster film “Hello, Love, Goodbye” which grossed Php 880 million in 2019. Now, five years later, KathDen reclaimed their spot.
“Thank you for the love and we love you a billion more,” says the caption of the posts of Star Cinema and GMA Pictures on Instagram. This is the first-ever film collaboration between GMA-7’s GMA Pictures and ABS-CBN’s Star Cinema.
“Hindi namin ini-expect na aabot po ng ganito ‘yung gross income ng ‘Hello, Love, Again’ globally. No words can say how grateful we are. Maraming-maraming salamat po,” says Richards about this achievement.
As for Bernardo, she expressed that they are “extremely grateful”. She is thankful to the supporters for making such a record happen and possible.
Cathy Garcia-Sampana directed “Hello, Love, Again” which is the sequel to the 2019 blockbuster movie “Hello, Love, Goodbye”. The other stars included in the film are Jennica Garcia, Joross Gamboa, Valerie Concepcion, Kevin Kreider, Jobert Austria, Mark Labella, Marvin Aritrangco, and Ruby Rodriguez.
