In an interview, celebrities Coco Martin and Julia Montes addressed the rumors about being married already, and here’s what they said.
Among the celebrity couples admired for their enduring relationship are Coco Martin and Julia Montes. Although it took years before they publicly confirmed their romance, the pair have remained largely private about their relationship. In recent years, however, they have become more open in sharing glimpses of their life together than they once were.
In their most recent interview together, with Ogie Diaz, the lead stars of Sigabo opened up about their relationship and addressed a long-standing rumor about it.
They have already been together for almost 15 years, and when asked if the marriage rumors are true, both of them immediately laughed before giving their answers. Julia volunteered to answer, and according to her, they are not pressuring themselves about this matter yet.
Julia said she believes that marriage will come at the right time, but for now, she and Coco still have personal and shared goals they want to achieve before taking that next step. They want to let things unfold naturally while keeping God at the center of their relationship.
“Lalo ako, sabi ko nga sa kaniya, ‘sabihin mo na lang kapag may mga nagtatanong, ako naman ‘yung nagpapa-hold eh’ kasi bata pa ako. Ayoko naman na dahil nandito na tayo sa sitwasyon na ‘to [or] dahil nasa tamang edad na tayo, enter agad sa ganong factor,” Julia explained.
Julia also admitted that she remains cautious about marriage after witnessing relationships around them change once couples tied the knot. According to the actress, those experiences have made her more careful about rushing into that stage of their lives.
There has been public pressure, but they remain happy with where they are now. Â
