Authorities Probe Shooting Threat Against Cebu University
Authorities are currently investigating a reported shooting threat directed at a private university in Cebu City.
On Thursday (July 2, 2026), the incident prompted an immediate response from law enforcement agencies and local government offices as officials worked to determine the nature and credibility of the threat.
Initial reports suggested that the school had received a bomb threat. However, after verification by the Cebu City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, authorities confirmed that the post actually contained a shooting threat aimed at the university.
