Miss Universe Philippines Chelsea Manalo arrives for Miss Universe 2024 pageant in Mexico ahead of the competition.
This year’s representative of the Philippines for the prestigious Miss Universe pageant is Chelsea Manalo. To recall, she took home the crown from the local pageant last May which was held at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay. The stunner from Bulacan bested 52 other candidates succeeding Miss Universe Philippines 2023 Michelle Dee.
In the past week, she was in Los Angeles for both training and relaxation. She strolled around LA and visited Venice Beach, Malibu, and other nice places there. She was warmly welcomed there and a week after staying in LA, she headed to Mexico where the international will be held this year.
Recently, she arrived in the host country. She radiated elegance during her arrival and some of her photos were shared online. Chelsea was striking as a “golden Maria Clara” because of her outfit on her first official day in Mexico. The Bulakenya model wore a stunning golden archival creation by Cary Santiago for the pageant’s registration while her curated look was done by her stylist Paris Roxas.
Santiago, the designer of the outfit, shared that she is not good at making pageant gowns but was still able to pull out a couple for her from her archive, and the beauty queen and her team can choose from any of them on where to wear it for her MU activities.
“Fast forward to today, this look would have been more beautiful on her had she worn nude pump shoes,” the designer added.
Meanwhile, Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray is excited about Manalo’s chances for the Miss Universe 2024 pageant. Gray returns as a backstage correspondent to the competition for the third time in a row and she believes that the PH bet is going to make the country proud.
