Xian Lim Reveals Not Only Him But His Family Become Target of Hate Messages
XIAN LIM – The actor-director explained his side why he speaks up on the issues thrown at him following his breakup with Kim Chiu.
Last December 2023, countless people were surprised and sadded when Kim Chiu announced her breakup with Xian Lim. The two (2) celebrities were in a relationship for 12 years and the split was undeniably contrary to the hopes of the countless KimXi fans.
Before becoming a couple, Xian and Kim were first on-screen partners or loveteam. They are collectively called by their fans and supporters KimXi and they worked on several hit projects together.
Kim and Xian starred in the television series My Binondo Girl and The Story of Us. They also had movie projects that gathered the crowd in cinemas. For 12 years, the then celebrity couple’s relationship has constantly brought romantic excitement to countless individuals.
Both Kim and Xian were mum on the reason behind their breakup. However, undeniably, the actor-director earned a lot of negative criticisms. There were speculations that there was a third party on the part of the actor.
Film producer Iris Lee who is now the girlfriend of Xian was tagged as the third party in the breakup of the two celebrities. The actor denied the speculations and rumors. He also put down the rumors that he asked Kim to cook steak for him before he broke up with her.
According to Xian, it was not him who initiated their breakup. The actor also denied calling his ex-girlfriend to tell him to introduce that he has now a new girlfriend.
Recently, Kim Chiu reacted to Xian Lim speaking up on the issues surrounding their breakup. The actress expressed her hope that he would stop from speaking on their breakup as it only creates more talks.
“The journey was beautiful, so… Ayoko nang maging masama ang loob ko,” the actress said on her message to her ex-boyfriend.
In an interview with GMA News, Xian Lim explained his side why he is speaking up on the issues surrounding his breakup with Kim Chiu. According to the actor, not only him but as well as his family have become the subject of hate messages and threats from other people following the breakup.
He stressed that he is not just speaking up to make a noise for his film like what others may thing but because the issues have “gotten out of hand”. Based on the report, the actor further said that he does not deserve what he is receiving.
“I do not deserve the false accusations, the lies being spread… My family does not deserve that,” he said.
Xian Lim expressed that he understands that fans got hurt by their separation but it was him and Kim Chiu who got hurt first. According to the actor, his mom and his grandmother also received hate messages.
