Amid third party allegations hounding Kapamilya actress Andrea Brillantes after the confirmed split of KathNiel, her mother replied to the critics to defend her. Mabel Gorostiza aka Belle Brillantes, didn’t hold back and even called netizens a “bunch of savages”.
The one that went viral in particular was when the mother of Andrea was asked by someone how she raised the young actress.
Belle is the champion freediver mom of the actress – a four-time national champion when it comes to freediving.
“Paano? Napagtapos niya sa school mga kapatid niya, nakapagpagawa ng bahay, may sariling negosyo. Ikaw, anong ambag mo sa mundo?” she replied as a matter of factly. It is not a secret that the actress became their family’s bread winner since she entered the show business industry.
This reached social media personality Xian Gaza, the Pambansang Marites, and he did not waste time as he reacted right away. In a post on Facebook, he gave a brief lecture to the mother of the actress about being careful in the statements and remarks she speaks to the public.
Gaza said in the post that Belle should not be proud of sharing the things her daughter has done for their family if those things are her responsibilities as a parent. He added, “Kasi kapag ipinagsigawan mo po ito eh para mo pong siniraan yung sarili mo sa publiko.”
Addressing the public, he expressed that it is a parent’s responsibility to provide for the needs and education of the children. He also noted that it is not the children’s fault why a parent would fail to provide them with the basic things they need to live.
