Kapamilya star Kathryn Bernardo issues a statement to confirm that she and reel and real-life partner Daniel Padilla have broken up.
After some months, the talks and rumors about the split of Kathniel will seemingly be put to rest.
In an Instagram post, Kathryn Bernardo set things straight by issuing an official statement to confirm the split between her and Daniel Padilla. The confirmation came straight from her and it broke lots of hearts.
“Chapter closed. I hope this finally helps all of us move forward. I won’t be entertaining questions regarding this anymore. Thank you for understanding,” says the actress in the caption.
In a series of posts, Kathryn explained that she has always been authentic about herself despite being in the show business. And because of this, she wanted the confirmation to come straight from her. She was aware of the speculations that have been circulating for some time now.
“It’s true that Deej and I have decided to part ways.”
She furthered on by saying that what they have had was real and not just for the camera, fans, and money that comes with being a love team. They were genuinely in love, dreamed together, and realized a lot of those dreams – still together.
Despite their split, it was half of her life she spent with him that she will never regret and “would never trade for anything in the world”.
The 11 years they have spent together brought her joy, adventure, and the feeling of being home. These were the years that taught her unconditional love and friendship. She shared that they tried to make it work but for a while now, have been drifting apart. With this, they have come up with the decision to accept that things will never be the same as before and that it won’t be fair to pretend that things were.
