Court sided with Jomari Yllana in the legal battle versus former partner
Complaints filed against actor-politician Jomari Yllana by his former partner Joy Reyes were dismissed by the Quezon City Office of the Prosecutor.
The separation that happened between Jomari and Joy was quite controversial. Even after their breakup, issues surfaced between them. Joy accused Jomari of not supporting their two children.
The actor’s former partner would share on social media her complaints against the actor. She even accused him of making their former conjugal house a motel as allegedly, the actor would bring other women there. It was also alleged that Jomari was not supporting his kids financially.
However, Jomari Yllana defended himself. He denied the allegations thrown at him by his former partner. Currently, the actor-politician is in a relationship with Abby Viduya. They rekindled the romance that they had during their younger years.
In an Instagram post last August 2022, Joy Reyes tagged the social media pages of the Department of Social Welfare and Development and Sen. Raffy Tulfo showcasing the complaints that she has against her former partner.
The former couple reached the court in line with this issue. In a recent report from Manila Bulletin, it was said that the Quezon City Office of the Prosecutor dismissed the complaints that Joy Reyes filed against Jomari Yllana for “lack of jurisdiction and for insufficient evidence.”
Assistant City Prosecutor Victorino L. Badua, Jr. stated in a 10-page resolution he prepared on October 28, 2022, that “This resolves the present complaint for Violation of RA 9262 (VAWC) and violation of RA 10175 (Cybercrime Libel), claiming that she was a victim of physical, psychological and economic abuses, and of libelous statements on social media.”
“I can only hope for the best in the interest of my two children from that partnership,” Jomari said. As of this writing, Joy has not released a statement yet regarding this matter.
