Dave Bautista covered his Manny Pacquiao tattoo

Actor Dave Bautista revealed that he decided to cover his tattoo of the logo of the team Manny Pacquiao and here is the reason why he did that.

Dave is proud of his Filipino heritage. His grandparents were Filipinos. Before making Hollywood movies, he was known for being a wrestling champion. Among his popular movie appearances is his portrayal of Drax the Destroyer in the Marvel Cinematic Universe Guardians of the Galaxy.

Just recently, Dave made a statement that caught the attention of many Filipino fans. It was because of a portion of his interview in which he was talking about his tattoos. He admitted that he has a tattoo of a team logo.

Although Dave Bautista did not mention what the logo was, based on the article in People, the Glass Onion star used to have a tattoo of the logo of Manny Pacquiao’s team. However, he covered that tattoo on his left forearm.

The reason why Dave did that was because of the statement that Pacquiao had in 2016 regarding gays. “The animals are better. They know how to distinguish male from female. If we approve [of] male on male, female on female, then man is worse than animals,” the former Senator said.

This hurt Dave as he is among many celebrities who avidly support the LGBTQ community. “It used to be a team logo. I was part of a team of a person I considered a friend and someone I really looked up to. And then, he later came out publicly with some anti-gay statements and turned out to be an extreme homophobe,” Dave said.

He said that it is a personal issue with him. His mom is a lesbian and he could no longer stay friends with the person who had a strong statement against the members of the LGBTQ community. “So, I had it covered up with this,” Dave said.
