PAGASA Releases Latest Weather Update for Saturday (December 31, 2022)

The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that the northeast monsoon and shear line will bring cloudy New Year’s Eve with a chance of rain.

On Saturday (December 31, 2022), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The northeast monsoon and the shear line will affect the country’s weather condition.

PAGASA reported that the shear line will bring rains and thunderstorms to the eastern section of Southern Luzon while the northeast monsoon will be affecting Northern and Central Luzon.

The shear line will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Bicol Region and Quezon. The northeast monsoon will bring similar weather condition over Cagayan Valley, Apayao, Kalinga, and Aurora.

The amihan will also bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with light rains over Ilocos Region, the rest of Cordillera Administrative Region and Central Luzon.

The localized thunderstorms will bring similar weather conditions over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.

The weather agency has also warned residents in the affected areas to take precautionary measures for possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains and severe thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over Luzon will be moderate to rough. Visayas and Mindanao will have slight to moderate surrounding sea conditions.
