Sharon Cuneta Surprises 72-year-old Pianist For Impromptu Performance

SHARON CUNETA – Megastar Sharon Cuneta performed “Ikaw” with 72-year-old pianist Vidalita “Lolo Bong” Infante at a mall in Makati on Sunday.

Megastar Sharon Cuneta has been in the entertainment industry for 44 years as a hitmaker, actress, and host. She recently admitted on Instagram that she is considering retiring.

The 56-year-old A-list celebrity said that a long career in biz may be very exhausting. She said she likes to spend her free time with her family.

Just recently, Sharon Cuneta gave an impromptu performance of her hit song “Ikaw” at a mall. She and her husband former Senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan surprised 72-year-old pianist Vidalita Infante or Lolo Bong at Powerplant Mall, in Makati City, on December 11.

Those who thought that Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez was the original singer of the song “Ikaw” are wrong. The Megastar is the original singer of the song that was used as the theme song of Viva Films’ 1993 movie of the same title starring Sharon and Ariel Rivera.

Regine recorded her own version of “Ikaw” in 1998 and it was included in Drawn, her 11-track album released by Viva Music Group in 1998. So the caption of an online site where Regine sang the song that Sharon first made famously is not true.

It is important to correct the mistake in the caption that appeared so that everyone knows the truth and to not hurt Sharon, as was sung by former presidential chief legal counsel Atty. Salvador Panelo in a campaign sortie, in March 2022, his hit song “Sana’y Wala Nang Wakas.”
