The 56-year-old A-list celebrity stated that she likes to spend her free time with her loved ones. She said that “retirement is calling” in an IG post where she shared a passage from Joanna Gaines’ book “The Stories We Tell,” where the author “always running at high capacity” after a certain age.
Sharon Cuneta said she doesn’t want to be tired at work and will just do the project when she has time. “All I wish I could do is be with my family and take care of them. And do all those other things I always wish I could do but just couldn’t find the time for,” she said.
But this is not the first time that Sharon has posted and said that she wants to retire from showbiz. Aside from her recent “retirement is calling” post, she also had a post in 2015, 2019, and 2020 and announced that she wanted to retire.

But why is it that despite this, Sharon Cuneta can’t achieve her desired retirement? The veteran singer-actress answered a few things and indicated the reason why she can’t retire even if she wants to.
Fellow actress Arlene Muhlach commented on Megastar’s post. Arlene said: “Exactly what I want at 54. Thing is, I can’t yet because kids are both still in school”
Sharon agreed: “@arlenemuhlach I really feel you. Same.”
Sharon also answered a fan and mentioned why she couldn’t just do the longed-for departure from showbiz. Part of the netizens’ message: “We do understand that you have worked hard all your life and deserve to take it east.”
