PAGASA Says ITCZ and Easterlies to Affect PH Weather Condition

The state weather bureau PAGASA said that easterlies and ITCZ will bring scattered rains over some parts of the country.

On Tuesday (November 22, 2022), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The intertropical convergence zone and the easterlies will affect the country’s weather condition.

PAGASA said that the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) will be affecting Palawan and Mindanao. The ITCZ and easterlies will bring scattered rain in 10 areas across the archipelago.

The intertropical convergence zone is expected to bring cloudy weather condition with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Zamboanga Peninsula, Palawan, Basilan, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi.

The easterlies will bring similar weather conditions over Bicol Region, Cagayan, Isabela, Aurora, and Quezon.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have a fair weather condition but ITCZ and localized thunderstorms will bring partly cloudy to cloudy weather condition with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.

The weather agency has warned the public of possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate at times heavy rains and severe thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over Extreme Northern Luzon will be moderate while the remaining parts of the country will have slight to moderate surrounding sea conditions.

The sun rises at 6:00 am and is expected to set at 5:24 pm.
