DENNIS TRILLO – Amid heated online reactions, Dennis Trillo is asking the public to stop the bashing and finally leave the past behind.
Kapuso Primetime Drama King Dennis Trillo appears to be calling for a temporary ceasefire amid the online exchanges involving his wife Jennylyn Mercado’s former partner, Patrick Garcia.
On Thursday evening, Trillo took to Threads to appeal to netizens to stop the continued bashing surrounding the issue. The actor directly addressed the public and encouraged everyone to leave the controversy behind.
“Simula bukas, tigil na po ang bashing ok?” Dennis wrote at the beginning of his post.
He further suggested that the issue should already be allowed to fade into the past, emphasizing the importance of moving forward instead of continuing the heated online discussions.
“Magmahal na tayo ulit, past is past, magpapasko na at kawawa na ang mga bata.”
His message quickly drew various reactions from social media users. Some netizens responded with humor, while others jokingly speculated about what may have prompted the actor to appeal.
One commenter quipped, “Mukhang nag-lock na naman sa CR si Dennis para makapag-post. Hahahahhaha,” while another asked, “Napagalitan ka ni Jen no?”
Another netizen jokingly appealed for the bashing to continue a little longer, saying, “Dennis walang titigil. Hindi ba pwede i-extend kahit hanggang weekend lang? Promise di na damay mga bata.”

The controversy gained renewed attention following Patrick’s interview with Ogie Diaz on the YouTube program “Ogie Diaz Inspires.” During the conversation, Patrick revisited an issue from the period when Jennylyn was pregnant with their first child.
Patrick said that he wanted to share his side after his daughter Michelle asked him to address the issue and help put an end to the negative comments directed at their family.
He also denied earlier accusations that he had abandoned or left Jennylyn during her pregnancy.
However, the discussion triggered further reactions online, with past interviews involving the Garcia family also resurfacing.
Meanwhile, Jennylyn’s talent agency released a statement saying that the actress chose not to comment on Patrick’s statements in the interest of peace within their respective families. The agency also appealed to the public to refrain from attacking Michelle.
Dennis’ latest message likewise appears to emphasize moving forward and keeping the children away from the continuing controversy.
