PAGASA Says LPA & ITCZ to Bring Rainy Weather Condition Over Parts of PH
The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that a low-pressure area and intertropical convergence zone will bring rains over parts of the country.
On Saturday (November 19, 2022), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The low-pressure area and intertropical convergence zone will affect the country’s weather condition.
PAGASA reported that a low-pressure area has been last located at 190 kilometers east of General Santos City and embedded along the ITCZ. The two weather disturbances will be affecting Palawan, Visayas, and Mindanao.
The LPA/ITCZ will bring cloudy weather condition with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Caraga, Davao Region, Northern Mindanao, Zamboanga Peninsula, Bicol region, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, Northern Samar, entire Visayas, Palawan including Kalayaan Islands, and Occidental Mindoro.
Metro Manila, Calabarzon, Mimaropa, Northern Mindanao, and the southern portion of Aurora will experience similar weather conditions.
The localized thunderstorms will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over the remaining parts of the country.
The weather agency has also warned the residents in the affected areas for flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains and severe thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over Northern Luzon will be moderate to rough. Palawan and the western section of Mindanao as well as the rest of the country will have slight to moderate surrounding sea conditions.
