Doug Kramer Urges Everyone to Choose Love Over Hate

Doug Kramer Speaks Out on Hate, Love & the Power of Forgiveness

DOUG KRAMER – Amid renewed attention on his brother-in-law, Patrick Garcia, Doug Kramer shared a message urging people to choose forgiveness over resentment.

Doug Kramer reminded his followers to respond to hate and resentment with love, compassion, and forgiveness, emphasizing that everyone makes mistakes. The former basketball player and entrepreneur shared the message on his Instagram page on Friday, Oct. 2, encouraging people to avoid responding to hurt with more hurt.

“Fight hate with Love. Resentment with Light. Cruelty is an echo of unrest within. Yet not every stone thrown is purely blind.”

Doug continued his reflection by acknowledging that no person is perfect and that people can hurt one another, intentionally or unintentionally. He urged his followers to practice grace and forgiveness rather than allowing resentment to take control.

“Perfection isn’t human; we all stumble along the way. Grace is needed both ways—we all hurt others, and we also feel pain. So extend forgiveness generously; none of us walk with clean hands,” he continued. “Hold fast to your warmth and keep moving forward. Refuse to return the sting. And let compassion break the heavy chain.”

The message came amid renewed public attention surrounding his brother-in-law Patrick Garcia and the latter’s past relationship with actress Jennylyn Mercado.

In a recent interview, Patrick addressed allegations surrounding his separation from Mercado in 2008, particularly claims that he left the actress while she was pregnant with their son, Jazz.

Patrick denied abandoning Mercado and offered his side of the story, claiming that Mercado did not want him to be involved during her pregnancy. His statements added another layer to a long-running issue that has resurfaced in the public eye.

Patrick also opened up about his relationship with his son, revealing that he has not seen Jazz since 2017. According to him, he had made efforts to reconnect with Mercado but was unsuccessful.

He likewise acknowledged that he has not given financial support since that time.

While Doug did not directly identify anyone in his Instagram post, the timing of his message drew attention given the recent public discussion involving Patrick, Mercado, and their past relationship.

His words centered instead on forgiveness, compassion, and choosing not to continue cycles of anger. Through his reminder that “none of us walk with clean hands,” Doug appeared to encourage people to reflect on their own imperfections while showing understanding toward others.
