Several LGUs Declare Class Suspensions in These Areas

WALANG PASOK – Several local government units declares class suspension in different areas due to the inclement weather condition.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration reported that the southwest monsoon will be an inclement weather condition over Central and Southern Luzon.

Habagat would bring cloudy weather conditions with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, Palawan including Kalayaan Islands, Occidental Mindoro, Metro Manila, Calabarzon, Mimaropa, Bataan, and Zambales.

Class Suspensions

PAGASA also advised the residents in the affected areas to take precautionary measures for possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

Various LGUs have declared class suspensions due to the inclement weather brought by the Southwest Monsoon.

Here is the list of areas covered by the cancellation of classes:

  • Valenzuela City – All levels, public and private (afternoon classes)
  • Caloocan City – All levels, public and private
  • Marikina City – All levels, public and private (afternoon classes)
  • Navotas City – All levels, public and private (afternoon classes)
  • Parañaque – All levels, public and private (afternoon classes)
  • Malabon City – All levels, public and private (afternoon classes)
  • Rizal — All levels, public and private
  • UP Diliman – Face-to-face classes

The class cancellation has been announced to ensure the safety of both students and school employees from any form of danger due to bad weather condition.
