PAGASA Says LPA to Bring Rainshowers Over Parts of PH

The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that the low pressure area off Quezon province will bring rain showers over some parts of the country.

On Tuesday (July 26, 2022), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) released the latest weather update in the country. A low-pressure area will affect the country’s weather condition.

PAGASA reported that the LPA has been last spotted at 190 km North Northeast of Virac, Catanduanes or 340 km East of Infanta, Quezon. The Localized Thunderstorms will be affecting Northern and Central Luzon.

The LPA will bring cloudy weather condition with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Visayas, Bicol Region, MIMAROPA, entire Visayas, Palawan including Kalayaan Islands and Occidental Mindoro.

“Ito’y nananatiling mababa ang tsansa na maging bagyo. Sa nakita namin, magtatagal itong LPA at maaaring dalawa hanggang tatlong araw ito nasa loob ng Philippine area of responsibility (PAR),” Pagasa weather specialist Aldczar Aurelio said.

The Localized Thunderstorms will bring partly cloudy to cloudy condition with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms over the provinces of Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, Quirino, Nueva Vizcaya, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, Abra, Apayao, Kalinga, Mt. Province, Ifugao, Benguet and Aurora.

Bicol Region, Northern Samar, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque and Romblon as well as Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience similar weather conditions.

The weather agency also warned the public for possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains and during severe thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over Southern Luzon, rest of Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao will be slight to moderate, according to the weather bureau.
