PAGASA Releases Latest Weather Update for Saturday (July 23, 2022)

The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that the easterlies and localized thunderstorms will bring cloudy skies and isolated rains over some parts of the country.

On Saturday (July 23, 2022), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The easterlies and localized thunderstorms affect the country’s weather condition.

PAGASA reported that the Easterlies will be affecting the eastern section of the country. Pagasa weather specialist Ezra Bulquerin said that most parts of the country will have fair weather conditions.

“Most likely, fair weather conditions tayo dahil easterlies iyong prevailing weather system natin na kung saan ito’y magdadala ng warm and humid conditions sa ating bansa,” Bulquerin said.

The easterlies will bring partly cloudy to cloudy weather condition with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms over Bicol Region, Northern Samar, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque and Romblon.

The Easterlies / Localized Thunderstorms will bring similar weather condition over entire Visayas, Palawan including Kalayaan Islands, Occidental Mindoro, Metro Manila and Mindanao as well as the rest of the country.

“Bahagyang maulap hanggang sa maulap ang mga kalangitan and then, kung uulan man, mga isolated rain shower and thunderstorm lamang,” Bulquerin added.

The weather agency has also advised the residents in the affected areas to take precautionary measures for possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, the coastal water conditions over the Visayas, Palawan including Kalayaan Islands, Occidental Mindoro and the remaining parts of the archipelago will be slight to moderate, according to the weather bureau.
