PAGASA Says LPA & Easterlies to Affect PH Weather Condition

The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that a low-pressure area and easterlies will bring cloudy to rainy conditions over several parts of the country.

On Friday (July 22, 2022), the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The low-pressure area and easterlies will affect the country’s weather conditions.

PAGASA reported that the Low-Pressure Area has been last spotted 250 km West Southwest of Tayabas, Quezon, or 185 km West of Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro. The easterlies will be affecting the eastern sections of Luzon and Visayas.

The LPA is expected to bring cloudy weather conditions with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Palawan. The weather system has a slim chance of developing into a typhoon within the next 24 hours.

Partly cloudy to cloudy weather condition with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms is expected over Bicol Region, Northern Samar, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, and Romblon.

The entire Visayas and Occidental Mindoro including Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience similar weather conditions due to the easterlies / localized thunderstorms.

The weather agency has also advised the residents in the affected areas to take precautionary measures for possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao will be slight to moderate, according to the weather bureau.

PAGASA also reported that two to three more typhoons are expected to enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility within the month of July.

“Take note po, hanggang sa matapos ang Hulyo, posible pa din ang dalawa hanggang tatlong bagyo,” Pagasa weather specialist Benison Estareja said.
